Back in the 90’s, Danielle Richardson and Fahti Yamin, two talented and passionate hair stylists, worked their magic at Portland’s top-ranked, Hickox Salon.
Then, nine years ago, Danielle and Fahti combined their talents and years of experience to open Fada Salon, where they, along with their team of exceptional stylists, attracted a strong following of eclectic devotes.
But the story doesn’t end there, just last year the salon moved to its ideal home in the historic Charles F. Berg Building on Southwest Broadway, in the heart of downtown Portland. In the words of Danielle, “Our goal has always been to create an intimate culture built around personal care and personal touch, and we have achieved this at Fada.”

 

 Iranian-born Fahti fell in love with cutting hair on her second day of training. “ To this day, every hair cut I give, every client I touch, I still love it.” With her own head of beautiful curls, Fahti is proficient at cutting and styling curly hair and has a regional reputation as the expert. “ I want to teach people who hate their curls how to embrace and love them and achieve the ideal style.” Her strength lies in matching her client’s facial shape with the best cut and color. Fahti also lives in the Portland area with her husband Fardad and their three children.

 

Change both enchants and drives Danielle. “I love the constant change of the industry, and I love my interactions with people. It’s amazing to see life through the eyes of so many people.” Classically trained, Danielle combines her technical skill with creative techniques to achieve the perfect custom cut and color for each client (and it makes her day to help new clients correct a unsuitable hairstyle). Danielle lives in the Portland area with her husband Daren and their three children.
